Description:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the timely flow of inventory, materials, and customer orders through effective coordination of receiving, storage, transportation, and shipping activities. This role supports daily logistics and supply chain operations by ensuring accurate order processing, shipment coordination, inventory management, and communication with customers, suppliers, freight providers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in logistics coordination, ERP systems, and transportation processes within a fast-paced operational environment.


Key Responsibilities
Order Processing
  • Process customer orders accurately within the ERP system, ensuring pricing and discounts are correctly applied
  • Prepare and manage quotes, commercial invoices, packing lists, customs documentation, sales orders, transfer orders, purchase orders, bills of lading, picking slips, and shipment documentation
  • Maintain batch record control and assist with product setup and management within the ERP system
  • Verify customer credit status and assist in resolving account or order-related issues
  • Coordinate with suppliers, technical teams, and customers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Maintain accurate ERP system records and data management practices
Delivery Schedule Management
  • Communicate delivery schedules and shipment status updates to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate with freight carriers and logistics providers for inventory distribution and deliveries
  • Monitor backorders and communicate shortages to production and distribution teams
  • Ensure customer information and delivery details are updated accurately within the ERP system
Logistics Coordination
  • Liaise with customers, couriers, freight providers, and internal departments to support logistics operations
  • Assist with transportation planning, routing, and shipping coordination
  • Monitor deliveries and maintain accurate shipment records and documentation
  • Support quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with operational procedures
  • Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices and bills of lading
  • Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and transportation-related inquiries as required
Fleet Coordination
  • Support planning and dispatching of drivers, fleet resources, and third-party transportation vendors
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipment scheduling
  • Monitor and track shipments, communicating updates to drivers and vendors as required
  • Maintain transportation records, logs, and reporting documentation
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) procedures and policies
  • Participate in workplace inspections, safety meetings, and incident reporting processes
  • Support risk management activities and compliance with workplace safety regulations
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices within the operational environment
  • Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct
Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Completion of secondary school required; additional education in logistics, supply chain, or related disciplines preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, inventory control, or supply chain operations
  • Working knowledge of transportation and DOT regulations
  • Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong administrative, data entry, and document control skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to negotiate and coordinate effectively with vendors and service providers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift certification
  • Dangerous Goods certification or license
  • Experience working within Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments
