Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator supports data center operations by managing the end-to-end flow of materials, including receiving, storing, and shipping high-value equipment. This role handles a large volume of customer orders and reports, ensures accurate documentation and performance metrics, and collaborates closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet service levels and key performance indicators.
Responsibilities
- Support data center operations by coordinating the receiving, storage, and shipping of materials and high-value server equipment.
- Handle customer queries, escalations, and a large volume of day-to-day reports throughout the life cycle of customer orders.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with full-time employees by understanding their day-to-day business requirements and providing timely support.
- Prepare, complete, and submit weekly and monthly customer and carrier performance reports with accurate and detailed content.
- Maintain accurate records and metrics related to logistics activities, and perform audits and assessments to ensure data integrity.
- Identify, document, and implement Opportunities For Improvement (OFIs) to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Apply scheduling, planning, and coordination activities to support inbound and outbound product operations.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of all operational systems and tools related to the work area, including warehouse management systems.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, customers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and provide updates.
- Set up and utilize internal systems, including EDI feeds or manual entry processes, to manage orders and data effectively.
- Ensure orders are placed and processed in a timely manner to meet KPI requirements and support proper inventory levels that align with customer expectations.
- Assist with logistics and warehouse management tasks as needed, including coordination of forklift, electric cart, and pallet jack activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall logistics and warehouse operations.
Essential Skills
- Experience in logistics, logistics management, or warehouse management, including working with warehouse management systems.
- Customer service bacground in logistics or planning with the ability to build relationships with customers and provide timely resolutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a strong emphasis on Excel for tracking and analysis; familiarity with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables is a plus.
- Ability to type, communicate clearly, and perform tasks that may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to adapt and work effectively in an ever-changing, fast-paced, and potentially high-stress environment.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience working around or observing forklifts, electric carts, and/or pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records, metrics, and reports.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with logistics operations within data center or high-value equipment environments.
- Experience using electronic data interchange (EDI) systems or similar tools for order processing and data management.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and support implementation of operational enhancements.
- Comfort working with performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Basic analytical skills for interpreting data and contributing to operational decisions.

Work Environment
This role is based in a large data center and warehouse environment that is climate-controlled and safety-focused. You will handle high-value server equipment and work around forklifts, electric carts, and pallet jacks. The operation is fast-paced and involves significant walking throughout the shift. You will use warehouse management systems and office software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook as part of your daily activities.
