Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join our ISP Chemicals business at our Calvert City, KY. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function. This position will report to the Logistics Manager
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Coordinate all export, LTL, and TL shipments
  • Tender loads utilizing Ashland's TMS (Transportation Management System)
  • Maintain and coordinate shipping schedule
  • Prepare Bills of Ladings
  • Print export, domestic and customer specific labels
  • Use SAP to confirm shipments
  • Assist with purchase orders, receiving, etc.
  • Weekends are required as needed for month end

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
  • A minimum of a High School diploma
  • 1-3 years in supporting shipping
  • 49CFR, IATA and IMDG certifications, or be able to obtain
  • Must be highly proficient in the use of computers: email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be highly organized and self-motivated
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to multi-task

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:
  • SAP experience, SAP & Accounting practices is highly desirable
  • Microsoft products, excel, and word
