Front Desk & Human Resources Assistant

Position Summary

Bensonwood is seeking an organized, people-focused, and detail-oriented Front Desk & Human Resources Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This position plays a vital role in creating an exceptional experience for our associates, applicants, visitors, and clients while supporting the day-to-day operations of Human Resources.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role combines front desk responsibilities with meaningful HR work, including benefits administration, onboarding, HR systems support, and employee engagement. What You'll Do

Front Desk & Office Support

  • Welcome visitors, applicants, vendors, and associates with professionalism and exceptional customer service.

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.

  • Coordinate visitor check-in, tours, meetings, and deliveries.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and shipping.

  • Maintain reception and common office areas.

  • Provide general administrative support to the organization.

Human Resources Support

  • Support employee benefits administration, including new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and Open Enrollment.

  • Serve as a resource for routine employee benefits questions.

  • Complete onboarding documentation, including E-Verify and I-9 compliance.

  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and personnel files.

  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, and record management.

  • Support employment verification requests and general HR administrative functions.

Employee Experience & Events

  • Coordinate employee appreciation events, company celebrations, and recognition programs.

  • Assist with onboarding experiences for new hires.

  • Coordinate event logistics, vendors, catering, supplies, and scheduling.

  • Support employee engagement initiatives that strengthen our culture.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Two or more years of experience in administrative support, customer service, office administration, or Human Resources.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience with employee benefits administration.

  • Previous Human Resources or office administration experience.

Compensation and Benefits
