About the Role

E-Commerce Forecasting & SKU Strategy Manager

At Blue Marble, we believe in the power of play to spark curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning. We create innovative toys and experiences that inspire kids—and kids at heart—around the world.

We're seeking a data-driven Ecommerce Forecasting & SKU Strategy Manager to lead demand planning, inventory strategy, and SKU performance across our marketplace channels, including Amazon, Walmart, Target+, and other ecommerce platforms. In this role, you'll ensure the right products are available at the right time while optimizing inventory health, profitability, and operational efficiency.

Working closely with marketplace, logistics, and supply chain teams, you'll develop forecasting models, drive process improvements, and lead initiatives that support sustainable growth. This is an ideal opportunity for a strategic, hands-on leader who enjoys solving complex operational challenges and turning data into action.

You'll be the person who ensures the right inventory is in the right place at the right time, that every SKU is pulling its weight on margin, and that our team runs smoothly across Vendor Central, Seller Central, and our 3PL/logistics partners. If you love turning messy, cross-functional problems into clean processes and you're equally comfortable building a forecast model and coaching direct reports, then this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Core Responsibilities:

  • Full ecommerce forecast accountability across all SKUs and platforms (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Tiktok, and more)
  • SKU-level demand planning strategy: in-stock, annual, promotional, and Q4 seasonal

  • Communicating overstock/understock risk to promo and inventory teams to minimize storage costs and aged inventory
  • SKU Strategy & Portfolio Development

  • Reviewing bulk buy/discounted buy opportunities to support early stock-up decisions

  • Managing the Amazon import program and direct-to-FBA shipping options
  • Communicating buffer stock needs to the broader inventory team
  • Monitoring vendor availability status

  • Maintaining compliance with Amazon shipment requirements and proactively updating SOPs as requirements evolve
  • Overseeing Vendor Central operations: PO creation/tracking, ladder and import orders, and operational performance monitoring
  • Overseeing Seller Central operations: shipment creation/tracking and reimbursement requests
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for 3PLs, ecommerce platforms, logistics partners, and the in-stock

Team Leadership & Development

  • Directly supervising Ecommerce Supply Chain Manager and Ecommerce Demand Planner — managing daily tasks, workload allocation, prioritization and accuracy
  • Conducting regular check-ins and performance reviews
  • Training specialists on operational tasks and keeping SOPs current
  • Ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all team processes
  • Supporting the professional growth and advancement of direct reports
  • Handling escalations on platform cases, carrier issues, and operational exception

Reporting, Communication & Visibility

  • Maintaining team dashboards (e.g., ClickUp, PowerBI) for visibility into out-of-stocks, planned shipments, and new product launch timing
  • Creating documentation for inventory movement and planning visibility
  • Communicating operational issues, root causes, and resolution strategies to leadership
  • Producing ad hoc reporting across platforms and functions as needed

Process & Ongoing Improvement

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements across forecasting, operations, and inventory workflows
  • Staying current on platform changes (Amazon fee structures, shipment requirements, EDI specs, chargeback rules) and driving team adaptation
  • Evaluating new shipping and fulfillment options to reduce cost or improve speed
