The core responsibilities of this role include: Assist in coordinating truck, rail, and international shipments. Provide communication to both shippers and carriers. Assist in coordinating and providing problem-solving and order management for customers.
Position: Logistics Operations Coordinator
Shift: 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm
Pay: $20.50 per hour + $1.00 Shift Premium
Additional Incentives: All full-time employees are eligible to qualify monthly attendance bonuses.
In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also have the following skills: strong computer skills to include MS Outlook & Excel familiarity, Outbound Dock Experience, Production, Warehouse, General Labor.
  • 6 months - 1 year warehouse or logistics experience, preferred

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Role Purpose:
Assist in coordinating truck, rail, and international shipments. Provide communication to both shippers and carriers. Assist in coordinating and providing problem-solving and order management for customers.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Assist in coordination of export/import shipments.
  • Establish and coordinate schedule with carrier and tender shipments.
  • Track and trace all shipments.
  • Update and maintain Transportation Management System(s) - SAP.
  • Prepare and publish daily, weekly reports.
  • Obtain data to assist in analysis on performance trends.
  • Proactively identify problems to management.
  • Answer and resolve basic billing questions when needed.
  • Prepare client invoice packets
  • Confirm rates with carriers.

Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
  • 6 months - 1 year warehouse or logistics experience, preferred
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually
