Job description

The Opportunity: 

Red River Co-op is seeking an experienced Commercial Energy Logistics Manager who will be responsible for the Redonda warehouse facility, including dispatch coordination, fleet and driver oversight, and delivery scheduling, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service.

Reporting to the Commercial Energy Sales Manager, the responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Lead all daily logistics operations at the Redonda warehouse facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable workflows across commercial fuel and lubricant deliveries.

  • Coordinate routing, scheduling, and dispatch for Red River's Commercial Energy fleet to achieve on-time and cost-effective deliveries.

  • Maintain oversight of warehouse inventory, shipping/receiving, and lubricant/equipment stock management to meet customer and operational needs

  • Supervise a team of Commercial Fuel Drivers and the Dispatch Coordinator, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and performance.

  • Manage all aspects of compliance with NSC, TDG, WHMIS, and related transportation regulations.

  • Manage product procurement, including lubricants, petroleum equipment, and related materials for Redonda and Teulon operations.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to support commercial fuel and cardlock pricing alignment.

  • Participate in annual budget planning and monitor operational performance against established goals for delivery costs, volume, and efficiency.

  • Other tasks as assigned

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, fleet operations, or fuel distribution management is preferred (energy or transportation sector preferred).
  • Proven leadership experience managing drivers and/or dispatch operations.

  • Working knowledge of TDG, NSC, WHMIS, and other transportation and safety regulations.

  • Strong understanding of inventory management, scheduling systems, and warehouse operations.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, customer service, and team development.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and logistics/dispatching software systems.

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 with air endorsement considered an asset).
