Overview

JOB SUMMARY: The Logistics Intern provides administrative and operational support to the Logistics team by assisting with inventory management, equipment preparation, shipping and receiving, asset tracking, computer resets, and e-cycling activities. This role helps maintain accurate inventory records, prepares hardware for deployment or disposal, and supports the efficient management of IT assets while gaining practical experience in IT logistics and business operations.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform clerical and operational tasks to support the Logistics Coordinator and Director of Internal Operations.
  • Assist in pulling inventory and returning equipment in designated team storage areas.
  • Assist in receiving incoming hardware shipments and verify contents.
  • Help prepare, package, and label equipment for shipment to clients and internal staff.
  • Update inventory and ticketing systems to maintain accurate asset records.
  • Apply asset tags to new equipment and ensure proper documentation.
  • Helps to reset and prepare returned computers for redeployment or e-cycle.
  • Assist with the identification, organization, and processing of retired equipment for e-cycling in accordance with company policies.
  • Help maintain an organized inventory, staging, and storage area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with data entry.
  • Ability to lift and move packages and equipment (with appropriate safety precautions).
  • Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn.
  • Interest in technology or logistics is a plus.
  • Currently enrolled in high school.
