Senior Logistics Specialist

Work Location: Huntsville, AL

Schedule: Full Time 40 hours per week; 8 hours per day in office (remote work is not authorized)

Relocation: Negotiable

IronMountain Solutions has an opening for a Senior Logistics Specialist supporting the Aviation Turbine Engine Program Office located on Redstone Arsenal, AL. The role involves Army Aviation engine maintenance, developing and performing logistics management operations that involves planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) functions for major complex systems that encompass new and emerging technologies or complicated fielding requirements

Job Duties:

  • Perform technical review of Maintenance Engineering Orders (MEOs), proposed technical publication changes (2028s) for Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) , and Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs) pertaining to Army Aviation Engines.
  • Support and conduct DMWR and technical publications (IETM) Verification activities.
  • Participate in Internal/External Logistics Demonstrations as well as Tooling Checks and provide maintainer expertise support as required.
  • Review proposed Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)/Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and address any logistics or maintainer impacts or concerns
  • Support Engine Safety investigations, airworthiness impacts, safety message development, user messages and Technical Bulletins (TBs)
  • Ability to research and collect information/trends/issues from Army Aviation Maintenance Forms and Records field data (TAMMS-A, MCDS 2410)
  • Provide real world Army Aviation engine maintenance expertise to the ATE Program Office.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. 

Education and General Experience:

  • BS/BA or MA/MS Degree (Preferably in Logistics/Supply Change Management)
  • 10+ years' experience with IPS procedures, processes and program management of a major acquisition program and weapon system as it pertains to IPS.
  • Requires experience in field and sustainment level maintenance planning; Modification Work Order (MWO) planning and execution, obsolescence mitigation planning; development/update of Life Cycle Logistics Support Plan (LCSP) and associated annexes, review Logistics Management Information (LMI), develop and review Level of Repair Analysis (LORA); review Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) and Technical Data Package (TDP).

Skills, Competencies and Abilities:

  • Experience in Army maintenance (15B Aircraft Powerplant Repairer) for T55 and/or T700 series engines.
  • Experience in both field and sustainment level maintenance planning, indicating a comprehensive understanding of the lifecycle support needs of complex systems.
  • Proficiency in Modification Work Order (MWO) planning and execution, showcasing the ability to manage system upgrades and modifications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge in Army Aviation Maintenance and its associated Forms and Records (TAMMS-A and MCDS 2410).

Travel: Position may require up to 25% travel

Must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Per federal requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this level of clearance.
