Reporting to the Logistics Manager. A Logistics Team Member responsible for working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and carriers to support logistics and sales functions to optimize product flow across the supply chain.


Key Responsibilities:ย 

  • Communicate and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to process shipments and ensure timely receipt/delivery of goods; record, report, and help resolve shipment discrepancies and errors.
  • Review inbound/outbound documentation for damage, shortages, and accuracy; enter and maintain shipment information in the ERP system (Deacom).
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure documents are filed/stored in designated locations per process requirements.
  • Enter logistics dispatch orders and verify shipments in the ERP system (sales, logistics, and inventory modules).
  • Monitor, track, and trace shipments using reports; update shipment status and enter carrier KPI information in the ERP system as needed.
  • Partner with Logistics Coordinators and Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) to obtain freight quotes, provide tracking updates, and support intra-company transfer requests with inventory/purchasing.



Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer-service orientation, professionalism, and strong interpersonal/relationship management skills.
  • Positive, motivated, and accountable; demonstrates initiative, a desire to learn, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, basic math, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and the ability to quickly learn new processes, procedures, and business systems.
  • Ability to understand and follow food safety principles and basic food science concepts, as applicable to the role.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Inventory management experience.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain concepts, common obstacles, and practical solutions.
  • 1-2 years of logistics, shipping/receiving, or transportation coordination experience.
  • Experience with carrier/3PL portals, appointment scheduling, and shipping documents
