Job Summary
The Plant Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing logistics operations within the plant, focusing on the efficient movement and storage of materials, components, and finished products. This role involves coordinating with production, procurement, and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate inventory management.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
• Coordinate with plant teams to support assembly line setup, ensuring efficient layout design, process flow optimization, and standardization of operations.
• Apply strong knowledge of process mapping and PFEP (Plan for Every Part) to streamline material flow and improve operational efficiency.
• Analyze manpower planning, along with equipment installation and commissioning activities within warehouse operations.
• Optimizing the logistics process (Kaizen / NVAA Analysis / Layout Studies / etc.).
• Work to define and deploy complete logistics flow (Location strategy + JIT / JIS / Kitting / Kanban / etc.).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth logistics operations and resolve material handling issues.
• Participate in facility and resource planning initiatives, including RFQ execution and CAPEX planning for new projects.
• Support the implementation of new logistics processes and technologies to improve workflow efficiency
• Maintain effective communication with Manufacturing Engineering, Design, Purchasing, and Quality Assurance to discuss potential improvements and/or issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
•  Software experience (preferred) - Creo, SAP, Proplanner, AutoCAD
•  Knowledge of project management, Lean, and Kaizen methodology is a plus.
•  Knowledge of Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
