About the Role:

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation and delivery of goods, ensuring that they arrive at their destination on time and within budget. You will work closely with suppliers, carriers, and customers to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues that may arise. Your ultimate goal will be to optimize the supply chain and improve efficiency, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics management
  • Experience with international logistics and air freight
  • Strong understanding of transportation management and freight forwarding
  • Excellent communication, data entry, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams/Zoom 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with demand planning and supply chain optimization
  • Knowledge of commercial aviation
  • Experience with freight transportation
  • Familiarity with logistics software and systems

Responsibilities:

  • Works with customers and carrier partners to ensure on-time pickup and delivery while tracking drivers throughout shipment 
  • Negotiates rates with carriers and confirms correct customer charges applied to realize a margin
  • Manages accounts and solves problems with a customer service-oriented approach
  • Performs data entry functions in our TMS and web-based customer portals
  • Booking carriers at competitive rates and spot-quoting freight movements to realize a margin
  • Tracking cargo and equipment from pickup to delivery to ensure safe, timely transport of customer freight
  • Vet and on-board safe carriers according to thresholds and standards set forth by company policy 
  • Check steamship line and container terminal websites for accurate, updated booking and container details to support our drayage movements
  • Other duties as assigned
