Job description

Essential Functions/Typical Tasks Prince George County is currently accepting applications for the position of Fire & EMS Logistics Officer Assistant. This will be a part-time temporary position and will be responsible for coordinating the operations of the Logistics Division within Prince George Fire and EMS. Other duties will include but not limited to assisting with orders, checking and maintaining an inventory of all Fire and EMS station supplies and uniform items, supporting the Logistics Officer with needs and programs including vehicle maintenance, EMS equipment, fire equipment, and the medication control program (CSR/DEA Regulations), assisting Logistics Officer in purchases to complete purchase requests for all departmental equipment and supplies and participating in on-going educational programs, seminars, and workshops.

Salary Ranges: If certified (BLS, ALS and/or Paramedic) $27.57 - $30.40 hourly No certifications - $19.46 hourly Qualification Requirements Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and clerical techniques; thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic; thorough knowledge of the organization and functions of the department and of general administrative policies and practices; ability to keep office records and to prepare accurate reports from file sources; ability to perform and organize work independently; ability to prepare effective correspondence on routine matters and to perform routine office management details without referral to supervisor; skill in the use of personal computer hardware and software and general office equipment; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, County vendors, and the general public. Special Requirements Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and extensive office assistance experience. Additional Information Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia

Must possess and maintain certification of EVOC Level 3 or higher. Must possess and maintain CPR and NIMS, ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800. Must have knowledge of Fire and EMS equipment and supplies.
