Job description

Key Responsibilities

Load Coordination & Tracking

  • Assist in booking and scheduling freight shipments
  • Track loads from pickup to delivery and provide real-time updates
  • Communicate with carriers to ensure on-time performance

Carrier Management

  • Source and vet carriers (verify insurance, authority, and safety ratings)
  • Build and maintain relationships with carriers
  • Negotiate rates when needed under broker guidance

Customer Support

  • Provide shipment updates to customers
  • Assist in handling service issues or delays
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all communications

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and send rate confirmations
  • Ensure all paperwork (BOLs, PODs, invoices) is completed and filed properly
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company standards

Administrative Support

  • Enter load details into TMS (Transportation Management System)
  • Update spreadsheets, reports, and internal systems
  • Assist brokers with daily operational tasks

Required Qualifications
