Title: Freight Records Specialist
Shift: 7:00AM-4:00PM
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Location: Ecru
What Will You Do?
The Freight Records Specialist manages and audits transportation documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely data entry. They verify shipment manifests, bills of lading (BOL'S), and freight rates, linking warehouse, accounting, and logistics teams to reconcile inventory and delivery records.
  • Document Management: Process, review, and file shipping documents (bills of lading, delivery receipts, and customs declarations)
  • Data Entry & Audit: Accurately input shipment data-such as weight, freight charges, and item descriptions-into company databases or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Dispute Resolution: Audit carrier invoices and shipping bills; identify overcharges, missing freight, or damages and file claims accordingly.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all freight documentation meets federal, state, and internal regulations (e.g., DOT, OSHA, and customs).
  • Cross-Functional Support: Communicate with truck drivers, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and customers to track deliveries and address any transit issues.

What Do You Need?
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience: 1-3 years in shipping, receiving, logistics, or administrative records management
  • Computer Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and experience using logistics tracking and management systems.

Soft Skills: High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
