Job description

This role supports contingent workforce initiatives and related staffing efforts.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted support effort.
  • Act as the primary contractor interface and point of contact for government program authorities on technical, program, and project matters.
  • Oversee execution of contract requirements, deliverables, staffing, reporting, and performance expectations.
  • Manage acquisition and employment of program and project resources to meet mission needs.
  • Coordinate team priorities, task assignments, schedules, action items, and deliverable status.
  • Monitor contract performance and proactively identify staffing, schedule, quality, and execution risks.
  • Support program reviews, leadership meetings, status briefings, and contractor-government coordination sessions.
  • Ensure contractor work products are accurate, timely, professional, and aligned with government direction.
  • Maintain communication across program management, acquisition, financial, logistics, technical, and administrative teams.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to assigned contractor personnel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus two additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a master’s degree or MA/MS degree in a relevant discipline and Active Secret security clearance.
  • Over 10 years of experience performing duties similar to the functional description.
  • 5 years of experience supporting Naval Aviation or comparable DoW acquisition programs.
  • Ability to work effectively with government, military, and contractor stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional briefs, reports, and correspondence.

Education Substitution

  • Associate’s degree plus four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a master’s degree.
  • Six additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a master’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading contractor teams in a DoW or Naval aviation environment.
  • Experience managing deliverables, staffing, contract execution, and government interface responsibilities.
  • Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills.

Work Environment

  • This position supports a Department of War aviation acquisition program and may require on-site support at a government or contractor facility.
  • The role requires frequent coordination with government customers, contractor teammates, and cross-functional technical and business teams.
  • Work products may include program documentation, briefings, reports, schedules, financial inputs, action item trackers, and meeting support materials.
