Job description

Position Overview


RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Junior-Level Property Management Logistics Specialist in Stennis, Mississippi. This position is contingent upon contract award.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Provide continuous on‑site Property Management and Logistics (PML) support to ensure full accountability of government property
  • Assist in executing monthly, quarterly, annual, and spot inventories
  • Identify accountable assets and update criteria as needed
  • Assist in documenting and improving property and commodity management processes to meet audit and compliance standards
  • Help implement property policies and develop local standard operating procedures to strengthen compliance
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR), currently Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), including data extraction and data manipulation in Excel and Word
  • Conduct causative research for misplaced property or data discrepancies using APSR records, physical inventories, and historical documents
  • Maintain continuity of property operations by developing in‑depth knowledge of asset locations, receipts, disposals, and transfers
  • Assist in transitioning commodities and historical data between APSR and other systems
  • Support deployment of APSR at new locations, including storage layout planning, cataloging, and barcode marking
  • Research historical archives and current APSR transactions
  • Performs travel and driving duties as necessary to support operational and contractual requirements
  • Provide regular classroom and emergent on-the-job training


Required Qualifications and Experience


  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Valid driver’s license and obtain/maintain any required certifications
  • Strong work ethic with excellent English communication skills (Spanish required for some roles)
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position which may include walking, standing, bending and moving materials throughout the workday in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to work non‑standard schedules (nights/weekends as needed)
  • Ability to write professional correspondence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications
  • Ability to comply with all cybersecurity and IT policies
  • Ability to maintain professional conduct and follow all applicable regulations
  • Ability to provide ELMS training and provide subject matter expertise within the APSR
  • Two years’ experience providing logistics support
  • One year of experience on the deployment, use, and training with APSR peripheral equipment
  • One year of experience with accountable property cataloging actions in multiple databases
  • One year of experience executing requisitions and troubleshooting challenges within logistics IT systems for equipment, material, and supplies
  • One year of experience managing and implementing the unique requirements encompassing the accountability of Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) to include such items as inventory for resale, spare and repair parts, and clothing and textiles
  • One year of experience managing and implementing the unique requirements encompassing the accountability of general equipment
  • One year of experience using ELMS to support data calls and developing reports and dashboards metrics concerning property management
  • One year of experience with all features, functions, and capabilities contained within the ELMS Warehouse Management Module and Property Accountability Module
