About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead warehouse, transportation, inventory, and distribution operations supporting our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of materials and finished goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, leading warehouse personnel, managing contractor and carrier relationships, and driving a strong safety culture across the operation.

The Logistics Manager plays a critical role in supporting production through effective planning, resource management, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Your Mission
  • Lead warehouse, logistics, transportation, inventory, and material handling operations across multiple warehouse locations.
  • Supervise and develop hourly warehouse personnel, ensuring adequate staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Manage shipping, receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution activities to support uninterrupted production operations.
  • Oversee carrier, shuttle, and transportation contractor relationships, including contract administration and invoice approvals.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy for raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, and outsourced materials.
  • Prioritize daily operational activities including shipping, receiving, space utilization, freight management, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate material flow across production departments and warehouse facilities.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of warehouse employees and temporary workers.
  • Maintain workforce scheduling, timekeeping, PTO approvals, and departmental administrative requirements.
  • Manage fleet and forklift programs, including operator training compliance and equipment oversight.
  • Partner with leadership on capital expenditure planning, departmental budgets, asset management, and purchase requisitions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through participation in the KN system and department improvement activities.
  • Ensure non-conforming materials and process issues are properly identified, investigated, and documented.
  • Promote and champion Mondi's safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Safety, Health & Environmental Responsibilities
  • Lead department compliance with Mondi's Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) programs.
  • Conduct audits, safety inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety legislation, company policies, and the Nine Safety Rules.
  • Facilitate safety engagement meetings, peer audits, and focused safety training initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and approve work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Ensure employees receive appropriate training before operating equipment or performing tasks.
  • Participate in incident prevention, investigation, corrective actions, and continuous safety improvement efforts.
  • Stop unsafe work practices and address safety non-conformances when identified.
  • Support internal and external safety audits and regulatory compliance activities.
Your Profile
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of warehouse or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience managing warehouse operations, inventory control, transportation, and material flow processes.
  • Strong leadership and employee development skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Forklift and warehouse equipment experience preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Work may be performed in warehouse, manufacturing, and outdoor environments.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions may be required.
  • Position requires regular interaction with warehouse equipment, forklifts, and production environments.
  • Ability to work at heights of up to 60 feet when necessary.
