The Operations Manager leads day-to-day operations across transportation, warehouse, logistics, inventory management, and fleet management teams. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, streamlining inventory processes, developing leaders, and building scalable systems to support long-term growth. The ideal candidate combines hands-on floor leadership with strategic thinking, utilizing data and Lean principles to optimize performance and shape future-state operations within a high-volume distribution environment.

Operational Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end operational excellence initiatives, including process standardization, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Implement and sustain 5S disciplines to promote workplace organization, efficiency, and a high-quality customer experience.
  • Deliver consistent results across safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
  • Optimize inventory accuracy and logistics routing to improve supply chain performance and reliability.
  • Drive waste elimination and productivity gains through continuous improvement and strategic capacity planning.

  • Foster an associate-led culture grounded in Lean principles, continuous improvement, and servant leadership.
  • Dedicate significant time to floor-level observation, coaching site leaders, and mentoring associates.

Strategic & Enterprise Impact

  • Translate high-level enterprise objectives into actionable site-level execution plans.
  • Identify systemic gaps and design scalable solutions that support organizational growth.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Service, Finance, IT, and HR to improve end-to-end value streams.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies (such as automated systems and telematics) to influence future-state operations.


Business & Data Leadership

  • Establish operating rhythms, performance dashboards, and review cadences aligned with executive expectations.

Basic Requirements

  • Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of management experience within a distribution or logistics environment.
  • Compliance: Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including background checks, drug screenings, and motor vehicle record (MVR) reviews.

Highly Desirable Attributes
