Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support the development of next generation consumer hardware technology. This role will partner closely with program managers, technical leads, engineers, external development partners, suppliers, finance, and purchasing teams to coordinate engineering workstreams, prototype builds, international logistics, and key program deliverables.

This is a fast paced, highly cross functional environment requiring strong project management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with program managers, technical leads, and engineers to organize and manage engineering workstreams

• Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables

• Track prototype builds, engineering development activities, and overall program progress

• Use Jira to manage engineering development tasks, actions, and deliverables

• Coordinate international shipping, receiving, logistics, and shipment tracking for prototypes, samples, and development hardware

• Work with external suppliers and development partners to track tasks, deliverables, and Statements of Work

• Partner with finance and purchasing teams to onboard suppliers, obtain proposals and quotations, place orders, and track deliveries

• Assist engineering teams with development documentation, project artifacts, and technical records

• Collect program data and create dashboards, presentations, and status updates for stakeholders

• Maintain project documentation, internal resources, meeting notes, and action items

• Build and maintain project schedules and work breakdown structures to support development and resource planning

• Work across multiple teams and stakeholders to identify dependencies, gather information, and keep critical activities moving forward

Must Have Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of relevant project or program management experience

• Experience with international shipping, logistics, and receiving for hardware or technical products

• Experience supporting logistics and suppliers in Asia is highly preferred

• Strong Jira experience within an engineering development environment

• Demonstrated project management experience supporting complex technical programs

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field

• Experience developing project schedules and work breakdown structures

• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple suppliers, workstreams, and competing priorities

• Strong cross functional communication skills and ability to proactively identify gaps, ask questions, and escalate when needed

• Ability to work independently with limited guidance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with New Product Introduction for consumer hardware

• Understanding of the design and development lifecycle for consumer electronics

• Experience supporting cross functional engineering teams

• Experience within large scale technology, consumer electronics, aerospace, defense, or other complex hardware development environments

• Experience supporting prototype builds and hardware development programs

Schedule

Schedule flexibility is required to accommodate global teams and suppliers. Occasional meetings may require adjusted working hours outside typical Pacific Time business hours.
