Job description

TekPro Support Services (TSS) is seeking Logistics Management Specialists who will be responsible for managing the movement and distribution of good and materials to ensure timely delivery to customers. This position works closely with logistics personnel, vendors, and customers to ensure that all logistics processes are efficient and effective. Logistics management specialist must be informative and skillful to acquire the desired business outcomes. Along with planning and coordinating the logistics dealings, the logistics management specialist responsibilities include the job of predicting, warehousing, and accurately distributing the products or commodities of the FBI and organize and determine the motility of cargo, commodities, goods, materials, and services. Responsibilities include, with close supervision, but not limited to:
  • Develop and implement logistics plans and procedures to optimize the movement of goods and materials
  • Monitor transportation schedules to ensure on time delivery of goods and materials
  • Manage logistics data including transportations costs, shipping, schedules, and delivery times
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to coordinate the movement of goods and materials
  • Identify and resolve logistics problems to ensure the timely delivery of goods and materials
  • Evaluate logistics performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Communicate logistics information to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers, customer, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Cooperating with other sections of the firm for the purpose of combining the logistics with enterprise procedures and systems that include transportation, consumer sales, accountancy, order administration, etc.
  • Studying the fiscal encroachment of the planned logistics modifications such as conveyances, routing, commodity mixes, merchandise volumes and transport conditions
  • Developing the processes and stipulations for various logistic procedures
  • Launching and observing the specialized supply chain-based execution measuring structures
  • Leading the inward and outward logistics functionalities that incorporate logistics quality governance, transportation, guarding operations, storehouse processes, etc.
  • Applying client objectives that include personalized transit and intrinsic documenting metrics
  • Discussing with the clients and vendors for performing the work of enhancing the supply chain maintainability and skillfulness
  • Sustaining the safeguarding documentation, metrics, training records, documents, client service accounts, and process confirmation
  • Designing and enforcing the developments to the intrinsic or extrinsic logistics activities and arrangements
  • Answering to the issues related to shipment, customer satisfaction, export and import concerns, and logistic planning
  • Proposing the acquisition of modern and developed methodologies like the machine- controlled systems
  • Providing the cargo conveyance data to the vendors and consumers with the help of technological shipping data systems, electronic logistic mercantile arrangements, and shipment organization systems for fulfilling the purpose of modifying the credibility, speed, and performance of the shipping facilities.
  • Monitoring the job of logistics schedulers, logistics contrivers, and logistics professionals.
  • Advocating the best shipping manners, rates, instruments, itineraries, etc.
  • Provides multifaceted logistics support to a wide audience
  • Coordinate with Supply to field, respond to, and fill ad hoc supply requests
  • Inventory, manage, and organize supply cabinets within the building
  • Track supply items to anticipate needs, make suggestions, and stock supply closets
  • Conduct supply orders
  • Facilitate and coordinate documents for pick-up
  • Communicate with personnel as a centralized POC (meet and explain logistics functions to POCs and onboarding personnel)
  • Facilitate and/or perform equipment and material movement
  • Answer customer and client inquiries
  • Perform additional tasks as required by superiors

Qualifications
  • 3+ years prior experience working in related field.
  • Proficient with computer technology and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Reliable and diligent worker
