Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, efficient, and reliable Data Entry Clerk to join our Logistics Department. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date tracking information, inputting shipping/receiving data into our inventory management systems, and processing supply chain documentation.

  • Input inbound and outbound shipment details, bills of lading, freight invoices, and manifest data into the logistics management system (ERP/WMS).
  • Review, verify, and process critical shipping paperwork (including Delivery Orders, Ocean Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists) to ensure regulatory and company compliance.
  • Update and maintain real-time tracking logs for shipments, monitoring vessel statuses across various steamship lines and coordinate container availability at regional ports.
  • Cross-reference incoming shipping data against physical records or purchase orders; flag and report shortages, damages, or custom holds to the logistics coordinator immediately.
  • Assist warehouse and logistics teams with routine reports, labels generation, and digital filing.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in an administrative role within warehousing, freight forwarding, ocean import/export, or logistics.
  • Foundational understanding of maritime shipping logistics, including terminal/port operations and major steamship lines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Familiarity with Logistics/Warehouse software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or customized WMS/TMS platforms) is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management
