We have an exciting opportunity for a LOGISTICS ASSOCIATE at our PROVIDENCE, RI location.
Objectives:
  • Perform a variety of receiving activities to support the flow of incoming materials and supplies. These activities include the physical and electronic receipt of materials from various origins including Production (receipt of production outputs), Intercompany (other plants), Vendors (MRO's and Catalogue items) and Customers (RMAs).
  • Label and repackage incoming products. These activities support the flow of materials and provide the electronic tracking within the business system, which allows other actions to proceed.
  • Perform a variety of shipping activities to support the business and deliver customer orders. These activities include appropriately packing and shipping equipment in both individual boxes or crates, using software to create shipping labels and ensuring packaging provides proper protection so product will arrive undamaged (flow pack machine, air bags, etc.).
  • Perform a variety of inventory control functions to support the flow of materials. These tasks include physical and electronic tracking for Cycle Counting, Material Transfers and Distribution, Production Staging (kitting of raw materials) and Stock Rotation.
  • General housekeeping including the proper handling of waste and garbage and maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse. This allows for a clean and safe environment.
  • Transportation of material within the manufacturing areas, and to local external suppliers via company vehicle.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Inventory control.
  • Working knowledge of PC and Windows operating system.
  • Ability to utilize E-Mail in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Previous usage of scanners and ERP system a plus.
  • Experience and certification with Fork-lift a plus. Ability to use a pallet jack a must.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Valid Driving license a must.
  • 1-2 Years of Experience with shipping, receiving or stock room work.
