The Opportunity:
The Analyst is responsible for the strategic development and ongoing management of 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) Providers to support and enable Client business goals. This person supports the leaders of 3PL Management in assessing and driving efficient and productive 3PL initiatives that impact the supply chain, ensuring perfect execution in supporting and enabling Client business goals. Responsibilities include providing creative and structured analysis to identify process improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain templates that reflect and benchmark's current location profiles, rates, building specs, equipment, volumes etc. that enable efficient and streamlined bid reviews
• Be responsible for the structure and organization of contract repository within the 3PL team, ensures all updates and changes are detailed, communicated, and stored efficiently.
• Efficiently and effectively coordinates cross-functional communication on rate changes and updates to internal and external partners.
• Develop and maintain a database of events by Provider and report weekly status updates on current and planned activities
• Be responsible for the execution of rate/contract adjustments and communication to end users.
• Be responsible for the annual rate escalator process. Collaborate with internal team to acquire vital inputs and complete calculations, reviews and execution
• Proven ability to work with high volumes of data with accuracy and precision, demonstrating solid attention to detail, the ability to identify inconsistencies or anomalies, and consistently follow structured processes while maintaining data integrity.
• Troubleshoot and research rate discrepancies and system issues with Internal and external partners
• Assist with the preparation of executive presentations and provider business reviews
• Builds and handles relationships with Logistics Providers and serves as point of contact
• Research industry performance, standards, and benchmarks to analyze Logistics Providers performance
• Drives negotiation strategy and contracts to build a balanced partnership with Logistics Providers
• Analyze and provide insights into contracts and current reporting
Requirements:
Requirement(s):
• 5-10 years validated experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, analytics, or related field
• Highly skilled in Excel (advanced level), with expertise in functions and data analysis tools
• Technology tools experience including but not limited to: PowerPoint (advanced level)
• Data Visualization skills, proficient in PowerPoint
• Fundamental analytical skills for assessing sophisticated data, demand forecasting, network modeling, and principles of optimization which includes network optimization, product flow analysis, operations planning.
• Proven relationship management and accountability
• Transportation/Logistics industry, regulation, and contract understanding
Preference(s):
• Bachelor's Degree, in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or Finance or Equivalent Experience
• Technology tools experience including but not limited to: SQL, Snowflake, PowerBI, OneNote, and TMS tools.
