Job description

RN - Nursing Profession

Job Title: RN - Nursing Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Center Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, first-time travelers accepted License: RN, BLS Required Certifications: None specified Must-Have: Must be able to circulate in ENT and ortho. Scrub experience required.

Description: This position is within a facility that has a total of 205 beds. The unit includes 6 beds, comprising 5 general and 1 dedicated to urology. On average, the unit sees a variety of patient types, with common diagnoses including general, GYN, urology, ENT, vascular, spinal, dental, and complex cases. All candidates must have at least 2 years of experience. Support within the department includes a unit secretary, charge nurse who takes an assignment, resource nurse, and RT available 24/7. Clientists and intensivists are also on duty 24/7. Technology used includes EMR: EPIC, IV Pump: Alaris, and medication dispensing via Pyxis. Floating may occur for CST, surgical assistants, and anesthesia techs based on departmental needs, where they may act as sitters in various units. Scheduling involves weekend rotations primarily as on-call duties, with expectations of being available 2-3 times per week and one weekend call per month. Weekend call includes 24 hours on Saturday and 12 hours on Sunday. Holiday call responsibilities are included. Approval for time off will be processed through management. Scrub color is provided by the facility.
