Job description

This opportunity is for a full-time Retail Pharmacy Technician position based in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a contract-to-hire arrangement. The role focuses on supporting the pharmacist in delivering excellent patient service and maintaining smooth pharmacy operations within a busy retail setting.
Schedule:

  • 1st shift
  • Monday to Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the pharmacist in serving patients and managing daily pharmacy tasks
  • Greet customers, answer inquiries, and provide courteous service
  • Receive prescriptions, verify their authenticity and process them electronically
  • Address and resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims
  • Select and measure medications accurately to fill prescriptions
  • Organize, stock, label medications, and monitor inventory levels ensuring compliance
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
  • Valid Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Ohio is required
  • Previous experience in retail or a similar pharmacy setting preferred
  • Familiarity with Pioneer Rx pharmacy software highly desirable
