Job description

Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a Locum Tenens Veterinarian in El Cerrito, California. This is a full-time temporary assignment in a clinic setting.

We are seeking a California-licensed Veterinarian with prescribing authority to provide compassionate and high-quality care to animals in a well-established practice. This assignment offers a Monday through Friday schedule with daytime hours and no weekend or on-call shifts.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Veterinarian (Locum Tenens)

  • Location: El Cerrito, California

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Contract Type: Temporary (Locum Tenens)

  • Setting: Outpatient clinic

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide preventative and diagnostic veterinary care in a clinical setting

  • Conduct exams, diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, and perform minor procedures

  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure documentation is up to clinic standards

  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and clinic staff to deliver patient-centered care

  • Provide client education on pet health, nutrition, and treatment plans

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree

  • Active and unrestricted California veterinary license

  • Valid DEA registration and California prescribing authority

  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinic environment
