Job description

New Cardiothoracic APP Locums Job l Full Time Coverage Request
Our client in Atlanta, Georgia is searching for an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to provide full-time coverage starting as soon as credentialed. The ideal candidate will have significant cardiac surgery experience and be comfortable with first assist responsibilities.
Details/Requirements:
--Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification or Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant
--Board certification required
--Minimum 2-5 years of previous high-acuity cardiovascular surgery experience
--ACLS required
--CSU-ALS preferred
--Must be proficient with:
--Endoscopic vein harvest (EVH)
--Radial artery harvest
--ECMO
--LVADs
--Full-time coverage of 40+ hours per week
--Approximately 12-15 shifts per month preferred
--Hospital call coverage required
--Current team includes 7 physicians and 10 APPs
--Average census of approximately 50-70 patients
--Approximately 8-10 cases per day
--High-acuity environment with a CMI of 5.5
--Initial 3-month assignment with opportunity to renew
