Job description

LifePoint Health s Triangle Springs facility is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join their inpatient team on an ongoing locum tenens basis.
This is an immediate start with emergency / temporary privileges available and flexible scheduling open to both full-time and part-time physicians.

If you are North Carolina-licensed you can make your own schedule and name your own price.

Assignment Highlights
  • Location: Triangle Springs Raleigh, NC

  • Setting: Inpatient Psychiatry (Acute Unit 21 beds within 77-bed facility)

  • Schedule: Monday Friday, 8-hour days

    • Physician can begin rounds at preferred start time but must attend 9:00 a.m. treatment team meeting.

    • May leave premises after rounds but must remain available by phone until 5 p.m.

  • Call: None required

  • Patients per Day: Average

  • Admissions/Discharges: 2 each per day

  • Support Staff: On-site NP coverage

  • EMR: HCS (orders) and Fluency Flex (notes)

  • Board Requirement: BC/BE in Psychiatry

  • Certifications: BLS required

  • Temporary Privileges: Yes expedited for clean files ( days full)

Scope of Practice
  • Adult inpatient psychiatric care, including treatment of:

    • Anxiety, affective, psychotic, and personality disorders

    • ADD/ADHD, developmental, and organic disorders

  • Responsibilities include pharmacotherapy, coordination with the care team, and participation in treatment planning.

  • No outpatient work, ECT, or call required.
