Locum Tenens Cardiologist in Morrow, GA (30260) — 8-week assignment starting May 25, 2026; competitive weekly pay $6,830–$8,090. Join a busy cardiology team serving the Atlanta area and deliver high-quality clinical cardiology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Job Details
  • Assignment Length: 8 weeks (60 days)
  • Location: Morrow, GA (30260) with occasional coverage in nearby Stone Mountain, GA — Atlanta area cardiology opportunity
  • Setting: On-site at two facilities (hospital and affiliated cardiology clinic)
  • Shifts per Week: 4
  • Shift Duration: 10-hour days
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,830 – $8,090

Cardiologist Job Requirements
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited university
  • Completion of residency and fellowship in cardiology (5+ years of postgraduate training)
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia (or eligible for Georgia licensure)
  • Board Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a certificate of special qualification in cardiovascular disease (board-certified cardiologist)
  • Board Certification in nuclear cardiology/echocardiography or equivalent training (certificate of special qualification in echocardiography)
  • Participation in Tuberculosis (TB) screening program as required
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience practicing as a Cardiologist
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, manage, and provide follow-up care for patients with suspected or known heart disease, emphasizing evidence-based cardiovascular disease management
  • Provide direct patient care across outpatient cardiology and inpatient settings, including continuity of care, preventative cardiology, and health maintenance
  • Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions such as myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and congestive heart failure
  • Perform and interpret cardiac testing and imaging as appropriate (echocardiography, nuclear cardiology imaging, stress testing)
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary clinical care team, including nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and subspecialists
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and support quality and safety initiatives
  • Work primarily at the Morrow facility with occasional coverage at the nearby Stone Mountain location
