Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of emergency department experience as an RN. Candidates without the required certifications will not be considered for this role.

Description: The unit has 12 beds and operates with 6-8 staff members. During the day shift, there are 5-7 RNs, 1 ER Tech, and 1 Unit Secretary. Night shifts include 5-6 RNs, 1 ER Tech, and 1 Unit Secretary. Patient ratios are 4:1. The unit utilizes electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation. Candidates should possess strong skills in neuro and cardiac care. The environment is high-energy and fast-paced. Typical procedures performed in this unit include STEMI, stroke/TPA, and rapid sequence intubation (RSI). Preferred scrub color is royal blue, but this is not mandatory. No competitor emblems are allowed on uniforms. The unit is known for its quick response times, including a 12-minute door-to-needle time for TPA administration. The fastest bed assignment in the division is also achieved in this unit. Additional appealing features may include the opportunity to work with new equipment and technology, as well as a team comprised of experienced staff members. Schedule options may vary.
