Job description

Perioperative Nursing - RN

OR Location: Moab, Utah Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension Pay Rate: $64 - $69/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Moab, Utah. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a OR:

  • Provide patient care before, during, and after operations and procedures as a Perioperative RN
  • Maintain current, unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or compact state
  • Maintain current BLS certification; obtain ACLS certification within three months of hire if not already certified
  • Take on average 7-9 days of call per month with a 20-minute response time to the hospital
  • Work a Monday-Friday 5x8 schedule with rotating on-call responsibilities, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Apply excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques in surgical settings
  • Ensure patient safety and adhere to established precautions
  • Adapt and learn new skills to respond quickly and accurately in a wide variety of clinical situations
  • Assist in Pre-op, PACU, and Circulating roles for General, Ortho, and O.B. cases including C-sections
  • Be available to assist in TRAUMA cases in the Emergency Room as needed
  • Function as the sole on-call OR nurse during overnight emergency cases
  • Collaborate effectively as a team player with strong oral, written, and listening communication skills
  • Maintain emotional and physical stamina to respond effectively in stressful and rapidly changing situations
  • Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
  • Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
