| Work Environment | Shop floors, construction sites, aerospace facilities | Manufacturing plants, aerospace assembly lines |
| Industry Usage | Primarily welding tasks in aerospace and defense | Structural and component fabrication in aerospace |
Lockheed Welding focuses on welding processes such as TIG, MIG, and arc welding for aerospace components, requiring specific welding certifications. Lockheed Fabrication involves cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts, often using welding as part of the process. Both roles are essential in aerospace manufacturing, but welding emphasizes joining metals, while fabrication covers broader assembly tasks.
