The Work
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Full-Time Senior System Engineer. In this role, you will work on Combat System development and test execution as individual contributor in the Weapon Products. The successful candidate will have knowledge or experience in System Engineering of Weapons Control Systems product supporting Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) programs to meet cost and schedule.
Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a equivalent related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with weapon systems.
• Proficient in Linux, C++, Java, and/or Python; experienced with Git version control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through the application of mathematics and physics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance at the Secret level; U.S. citizenship required
Desired skills
• Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a equivalent related discipline.
• Experience with weapons-control system products that support Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), Anti-Air Warfare (AAW), and emerging weapons, including development of fire-control solutions, track-filtering algorithms, and weapon-guidance techniques.
• Proven ability to document and brief technical design solutions in written papers and oral presentations for stakeholders.
• Experience leading other engineers-whether peers or junior staff-on technical tasks and projects.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 - $181,113.
