Job description

Standard Job Description The Machinery Maintenance Mechanic repairs a wide variety including but not limited to: machinery or mechanical equipment and light duty military vehicles. Work involves most of the following: examining mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble, dismantling or partly dismantling part assemblies and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools. Responsibilities include replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock.

Duties also include preparing written specifications for major repairs or for the production of parts ordered, reassembling assemblies and making all necessary adjustments for operation. In general, the work of a Machinery Maintenance Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. Travel to customer locations as required.

Basic Qualifications Ability to diagnose, repair and reassemble parts and assemblies and install into factory locations Experience with diesel engines Ability to use Tech Manuals Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches and other calibrated items Intermediate computer skills Ability to travel as required to support customer requirements Desired Skills SAP experience MS Office skills ASE Certified mechanic Army Maintenance Manuals Experience with military vehicles and equipment Pay Information This position is covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) with an hourly wage of no less than $35.50 per hour. The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible work arrangements and schedules (e.g., 4x10), 401(k) match, Paid time off, Holidays, Parental Leave, EAP, Flexible Spending Accounts, Education Assistance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability. Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics

For Service Contract Act (SCA) positions only. SCA employees receive a minimum of 80 hours of vacation and 88 hours of holiday paid time off. Paid sick leave is up to 56 hours annually.

Paid time off is prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This is a general summary and fringe benefits are governed by the contract. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
