Description:
You will be the Quality Assurance Inspector for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Lexington, KY. Our team is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance across multiple DoW platforms in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for executing inspection and test methodologies on parts, components, and assemblies, and documenting results to defined criteria.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Execute inspection/test methodologies of piece parts, components, and assemblies.

  • Conduct inspections on multiple specialized systems and / or subsystems - electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and structures on automotive vehicles (heavy, medium, and light), rotary-wing, and fixed-wing aircraft during manufacturing, modification and maintenance programs, / activities.

  • Conduct incoming material inspections to include material testing.

  • Document inspection and test results to the defined criteria and expectations.

  • Perform a variety of activities in accordance with standard procedures, drawings, schematics, and specifications.

  • Collect, verify, organize, and provide common data.
  • In technical or production positions, it may be required to set-up and operate standard electronic or mechanical equipment and on occasion will be required to execute non-routine and moderately complex inspections / test.

This role must be performed during 2nd shift.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company‑sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be proficient with common office computer software. Must have effective oral and written communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
Must have the ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
Must be familiar with inspection/test methodologies of piece parts, components, assemblies and installations.
Must be familiar with standard inspection tooling to include calipers, micrometers, multi-meters etc.
Desired Skills:
Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
