Job description

DL George & Sons Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for 1st shift to ensure that all products meet contractual specifications. The Quality Assurance Manager will provide leadership in the QA department. Ensuring compliance to the customer and our ISO 9000.2015 and AISC 207-20 & 420-10.
Quality Assurance Manager Qualifications & Skills:
  • 2+ years in quality management in a metal manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency with precision measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of calibration and ability to read and interpret customer drawings
  • Lean/Six Sigma knowledge/training
  • Efficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with AWS D1.1
  • Background in ISO, RCSC and AISC
  • Managing internal and external defects
  • Knowledge of NCR's and RMA's

Quality Assurance Manager Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Maintain company quality standards
  • Actively participate in production meetings
  • Work with production team to improve products and processes
  • Oversee compliance to ISO 9000.2015 and AISC certifications
  • Review products, processes, and systems on an ongoing basis to identify improvement opportunities
  • Assist in inspection of machined and fabricated parts as needed
  • Facilitate reports and audits as needed
  • Interact with customers to ensure proper communication and compliance to their expectations
  • Develop and maintain regular interval quality KPI's
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
