Dishwasher - Big Chill Beach Club

Job Description

Summary of Position: The Dishwasher at the Big Chill Beach Club is responsible for washing amp; cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. This person will execute daily maintenance and deep cleaning of facilities, focused on keeping the dishroom amp; equipment clean and organized. Must Enjoy the Ride!

Duties amp; Responsibilities:

  • Complete opening and closing procedures
  • Load, run and unload dish machine
  • Set-up three bay sink with detergent, rinse, and sanitizer
  • Stock all necessary cleaning products
  • Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
  • Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware is in appropriate location
  • Maintain all dish and food service equipment storage areas
  • Keep dish washing area clean and organized
  • Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
  • Bag and haul dishroom trash to dumpster at designated times
  • Assist with trash removal from other kitchen and BOH areas
  • Assist with food prep when needed
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies in all areas
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Flexibility of schedule to assume responsibilities as needed, ability to balance work and personal life
