Responsibilities
Manager, Operating Room (OR) - Surgical Services position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA
This position also qualifies for a hiring bonus!
The Manager of OR/Surgical Services provides initial oversight and staff scheduling for the Pre-operative process, PAT, Surgical, PACU, Anesthesia, Endoscopy and Sterile Processing departments. Assists in the development and evaluation of all nursing personnel, and maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services
The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in a Registered Nursing program required.
  • Master's degree from an accredited College or University in a Registered Nursing program preferred.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of clinical experience in Peri-Operative Care Services as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility required.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years acute care nursing management or supervisory experience in Peri-Operative Care Services highly preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification through the American Heart Association or within three (3) months of date of hire.
  • Member or AORN (Association of Peri-Operative Registered Nurses) preferred.
