Short Intro and About the Job
At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Hand Packer based in Springfield, OR!
Shift Details: Monday - Friday (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
This entry level position is responsible for packaging products manually, performing basic quality control checks, including accurate packaging, package counts, and weight, evaluating product and package appearance. Assembles boxes, applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets. Places product on conveying systems and supports machine operators with basic material replenishments.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • You will prepare and packages products. Some duties include folding, taping, labeling, stacking boxes onto pallets, moving pallets with electric pallet jack.
  • You will maintain clean and organized work area.
  • You will Safely, efficiently, and accurately perform duties to manually move product through a production facility.
  • You will follow standard operating procedures.
  • You will engage in all safety, quality, and other company programs.
  • You will understand and perform lockout tagout (LOTO) and other processes to assure safety for self and others on qualified machines.
  • You will conduct self and encourage coworkers to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Company mission, values, and code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.

About You
  • You will have a High School diploma or GED.
  • You will have basic computer (keyboarding, email, data entry).
  • You will have a minimum of 6 months of successful work experience that involves accuracy, dependability, and teamwork, ideally in a food production environment.
  • You will maintain a safe working environment, functioning as a member of a cooperative team and safely perform job duties.
  • You will be able to obtain company certification in the safe and proper use of an electric pallet jack.
  • You will have the ability to adjust schedule to support 24/7 manufacturing, which may include working hours outside of a typical shift, including weekends as needed.
