Local Candidates Preferred: Candidates should currently reside in Connecticut or be willing to relocate before onsite work begins. Position Overview The Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking an experienced QA Test Analyst with expertise in manual and automation testing to support mission-critical enterprise applications that deliver essential services to Connecticut residents. A significant need for this position is the testing and validation of Spanish-language functionality and content. Therefore, professional proficiency in both English and Spanish is highly important for this assignment. The selected tester will be expected to perform functional QA activities involving Spanish-language screens, correspondence, notices, messages, workflows, and other resident-facing content. The tester must be capable of independently reviewing Spanish-language content for functional accuracy, consistency, completeness, and alignment with the approved English-language requirements and expected business outcomes. Spanish-language proficiency is being sought specifically because of the testing responsibilities associated with this assignment. Candidates will be evaluated based on their ability to perform the required QA responsibilities and demonstrate the language proficiency necessary to validate Spanish-language application functionality and content. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, business analysts, solution architects, project managers, and technical teams to ensure applications meet business requirements, technical specifications, State policies, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate has experience testing complex enterprise systems within State government, Human Services, Healthcare, Medicaid, Medicare, or Eligibility programs. Candidates who understand policy-driven applications and business terminology used in public-sector environments will be highly successful in this role. Bilingual Spanish Testing Requirement This assignment has a substantial Spanish-language testing component.
