Route Sales Driver Job Description

We are looking for a reliable company route driver to assist the company with all transport-related duties. The company driverโ€™s responsibilities include dropping and picking product (tortillas) to grocery stores based on a route schedule, and maintaining a travel log to record work hours, travel-time and locations traveled to. You should also be able to perform routine checks on the company vehicle (Daily vehicle inspection).

To be successful as a company route driver, you should ensure that all transportation duties are carried out in a timely manner. Ultimately, a top-performing company driver should be able to ensure that addresses and other transportation details are correct before undertaking any pick-up or drop-off duties.

Experience Needed:

*Handheld and printer experience to create invoices and credits.

*Knowledge of DSD(Direct store Delivery) to Grocery stores including Chains and Independents.

*Ability to load (from warehouse) and unload delivery vehicle (to accounts).

*Merchandising

Company Driver Responsibilities:

  • Safely transporting company product(tortillas) and materials (carboard displays) to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
