What is a local roofing professional?

Local roofing contractors are companies or professionals based in your community who specialize in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential or commercial buildings. They are familiar with the area's weather conditions, building codes, and common roofing materials, which helps ensure quality and compliance with local regulations. Hiring a local roofer often means faster response times, personalized service, and better follow-up for warranty or maintenance issues. They also tend to have established reputations in the community, making it easier to check references and reviews.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a local roofing professional?

To thrive as a Local Roofing Professional, you need strong knowledge of roofing materials, installation techniques, and safety regulations, often supported by relevant experience or trade certifications. Familiarity with tools such as nail guns, roofing harnesses, ladders, and potentially project management software for job tracking is important. Attention to detail, physical stamina, teamwork, and effective communication are key soft skills that set top roofers apart. These competencies ensure high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction in a demanding and competitive field.

What are common challenges faced by local roofing professionals, and how can they be managed?

Local roofing professionals often encounter challenges such as unpredictable weather, working at heights, and tight project deadlines. Weather conditions can delay projects or create safety hazards, so adaptability and proper safety protocols are crucial. Job description

About Us

At Prrotect Roofing, we’re a family-owned, locally operated roofing and exterior company proudly serving Manchester and the Greater West St. Louis County area. We specialize in roofing, siding, and gutter replacement, combining small-business integrity with the professional craftsmanship homeowners deserve.

With more than 250 verified five-star Google reviews, Prrotect Roofing has become one of Missouri’s most trusted and top-rated roofing companies, known for honesty, quality, and excellent communication. As our company continues to expand across West County, we’re seeking motivated, relationship-focused Outside Sales Executives who want to help homeowners protect their homes — and build a six-figure income through effort, trust, and professionalism.

If you enjoy connecting with people, solving problems, and working for a company that truly values its employees, this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Do
  • Run company-provided leads and generate your own through referrals, field marketing, and community outreach.

  • Conduct roof and siding inspections for storm-damage or retail improvement projects.

  • Prepare professional estimates and clearly explain materials, warranties, and project options.

  • Meet with insurance adjusters to verify and finalize scopes of repair.

  • Build strong customer and referral relationships in the Manchester area.

  • Represent Prrotect Roofing at local networking events such as Chamber of Commerce, BNI, and HBA meetings.

  • Partner with real estate agents, insurance professionals, and home-service trades to expand referral networks.

  • Request 5-Star Google Reviews and maintain consistent follow-ups with clients and prospects.

  • Help homeowners with color selections and contract finalization.

  • Attend weekly team meetings to collaborate, strategize, and track goals.

What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in roofing, construction, or home improvement.

  • Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM systems.

  • Comfortable explaining the insurance claims process.

  • Physically able to climb roofs and perform exterior inspections.

  • Motivated, organized, and goal-driven, with a team-first mindset.

  • Professional, ethical, and dependable under pressure.

Performance Goals
  • Generate $108,000+ in monthly sales.

  • Maintain a 35% or higher closing ratio.

  • Keep a 50/50 balance between company-provided and self-generated leads.

  • Develop 10+ referral relationships per month.

  • Protect company profit margins through accurate and ethical sales practices.

Why Join Prrotect Roofing
  • Locally owned — not a franchise; your work directly impacts company growth.

  • Top-rated roofing company with 250+ five-star Google reviews.

  • Unlimited earning potential with strong lead support and marketing tools.

  • Comprehensive training, CRM access, and marketing materials provided.

  • Positive, family-oriented culture that rewards integrity, teamwork, and results.
