Position Overview

Chat and Change Counseling, LLC is seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments for new and ongoing clients to accurately identify their trauma history and tailor appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental well-being.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide clients through their healing processes.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth.
• Ensure continuity of care by collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Provide crisis intervention services and support clients during moments of acute trauma-related distress.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, available support systems, and effective coping mechanisms to promote understanding and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and confidential treatment documentation in compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities that emphasize trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay informed on the latest research, methodologies, and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The clients we serve come from various backgrounds, each with unique experiences and challenges. Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress or crisis situations, providing support to clients effectively.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable using various software applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for clients.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling, preferably with a focus on trauma.
• Direct experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions successfully.

Compensation and Benefits
