Chat and Change Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team as a full-time member. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to better understand patients' backgrounds and treatment needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and personal growth.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.
• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions, assisting clients in processing their trauma, developing coping strategies, and promoting overall emotional well-being.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and integrated patient care.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and families regarding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and resources available to them.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings designed to enhance the quality of trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enrich the therapeutic process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Chat and Change Counseling, you will primarily work with individuals and families affected by trauma-related disorders. Our patient population includes diverse backgrounds, and you'll be critical in providing care that is culturally sensitive and inclusive. Your role is essential in building rapport and offering a sanctuary for those seeking healing and support in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
• Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and evidence-based interventions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic environment.

Compensation and Benefits
