This role oversees receiving, storage, inventory management, material handling, order fulfillment, and local distribution activities while ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and compliance with contract requirements. The Project/Warehouse Manager works closely with Government leadership, the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and warehouse personnel to prioritize workloads, allocate resources, monitor Warehouse Management System (WMS) performance, and implement continuous process improvements. By fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and exceptional customer service, the Project/Warehouse Manager ensures mission success, maintains audit readiness, and delivers reliable logistics support to meet the operational needs of the customer.
What does a typical day look like for a Project/Warehouse Manager?
You will:

  • Coordinate directly with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), Government warehouse leadership, production personnel, and other stakeholders regarding workload priorities and mission requirements.
  • Review Warehouse Management System (WMS) metrics, inventory accuracy, productivity reports, and audit indicators to identify trends and proactively resolve issues.
  • Allocate personnel and adjust staffing schedules to support changing production demands while minimizing overtime and maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality control processes, and audit sustainment requirements.
  • Oversee implementation of corrective actions resulting from audits, quality inspections, or customer feedback.
  • Review and approve required operational reports, performance metrics, and contract deliverables before submission to the Government.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service throughout warehouse operations.

What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary warehouse teams and managing daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, material handling, and distribution processes.
  • Experience planning workloads, allocating resources, adjusting staffing, and balancing customer priorities while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of quality management principles, continuous process improvement, and audit-ready operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills, with experience serving as the primary interface between operational teams and Government customers.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required installation access, Common Access Card (CAC) eligibility, and applicable Government security requirements. Ability to successfully complete a Tier 3 (T3) Personnel Security Investigation (PSI).
