Local Reefer Driver Opportunity

Home every night. Real miles, real stops, and a pay structure that adds up on paper the same way it does in your bank account. This local reefer position out of Shelbyville, IN is built for drivers who want consistency without giving up their evenings.

Pay Breakdown:

  • $0.90 per mile (includes $0.15/mile bonus)
  • $20 stop pay per stop
  • $35 per load
  • Average weekly gross: $1,600-$1,800
  • Average annual gross: $88,000 to $90,000
  • Pay increase of $0.05/mile available after 1 year of service
  • Sign-On Bonus $7,500 paid in milestones (Requires 98% on-time performance, no attendance issues, no claims, no accidents or incidents)

Home Time:

Average 8 hour shifts, start times between 4 PM and 2 AM. Days Off: 1 set weekend day off per week, plus 1 floating weekday off per week during non-peak season.

Freight and Equipment:

  • Reefer freight, groceries, dual and tri-temp trailers
  • 2023 Freightliner day cabs, automatic transmission
  • All driver unload, pallet jack with some hand unloading
  • Outward-facing cameras only
  • No slip seat assignment, truck not taken home

Miles and Stops:

  • Average 1,600 miles per week
  • Average 10 stops per week, 1 to 2 stops per day

Requirements:

  • At least 21 years of age
  • At least 6 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years (local experience considered)

  • Current medical card accepted if 6 or more months remain (must not be chiropractor issued)
