About the Role
Essity is looking for an experienced Boiler Operator to oversee the Powerplant operations in a safe and efficient manner including: water filtration systems and a natural gas boiler, while supporting our high standards of safety, housekeeping, quality, and productivity.
The ideal candidate should/could live in Middletown, OH.

What You Will Do
  • Maintains, records and e-mails daily reports for power plant safety, environmental and boiler production
  • Maintains and publishes data entry reports on Capstone
  • Operates and makes rounds to check air compressors, all PP, PRV, Vent Valves and mill main feeder breakers
  • Monitors capstone trending of Boiler
  • Monitors and maintains RO system or softeners as needed
  • Regenerates all Zeolite filters as needed
  • Completes daily water, condensate and effluent testing and reports results
  • Completes environmental testing and recording for daily/ monthly NPDES requirements as needed
  • Makes appropriate chemical additions to boiler make-up water as needed
  • Monitors deep wells, completes rounds and collects and records data as needed
  • Operate mobile equipment

Who You Are
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have active Ohio Boiler Operator's License
  • Experience working in an industrial environment preferred
  • Experience working with a gas boiler
  • Desire to work in a team based environment
  • Ability to safely perform tasks in a fast paced, heavy industrial environment
  • Ability to stand, reach, and twist in a heavy industrial environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. climb ladders, walk distances, work at heights on platforms, work in tight or closed spaces
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
