About the Position

AllTruckJobs is working with The DeLong Co inc to find a qualified Dedicated or Local or LTL or OTR or Regional Company Driver in Chetek, Wisconsin!

Drivers are paid by the load averaging between $26.44/hr - $38.46/hr

As a CDL Class A Driver, you'll be responsible for the safe and timely transport of goods to and from customers, vendors, and job sites. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Safely operate Class A/B trucks, including on uneven and unfinished surfaces at job sites
  • Perform daily equipment maintenance - keeping your truck clean inside and out and in peak operating condition
  • Tarp loads when required and handle client property with care
  • Maintain accurate DOT logs and ELD reporting in compliance with all regulations
  • Back 20'-40' trailers safely in tight spaces
  • Climb ladders up to 15 feet on trucks and fertilizer tanks as needed
            
    Work: Full Time, 10-12 hours a day- 5 days a week, during Harvest expanded days/hours may be required. Flexibility in working hours is required, as the shifts may vary, starting as early as 2am and ending between 10am-12pm

Requirements
  •  Valid Class A CDL
  • Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience with DOT logging and ELD reporting
  • Clean driving record and strong safety awareness
  • Ability to read maps and navigate unfamiliar locations independently
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs on flat and uneven surfaces
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to work extended hours and nights during peak seasons
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of CLD driving experience
  • Tanker and/or Hazmat endorsements
  • 1 year of experience with Samsara fleet management software
  • Comfortable operating a handheld radio and pallet jack
