Job description

  • Direct crew members and manage equipment each day.
  • Plans, assigns, and executes specific tasks in a safe a professional manner to crew and supervise performance.
  • Performs daily reporting using AMS system to submit timesheets and billing information.
  • Notify private property owners of presence on property; obtain permission from property owners to trim or remove trees and/or apply herbicides; discuss issues such as obtaining access, power interruption, work to be done, etc. with customer and/or property owner.
  • Oversee equipment and material usage, and cleanup. Make sure all equipment and supplies are secure on the truck.
  • Assist in personnel management.
  • Keep accurate records of time, equipment, and material used.
  • Maintain above standard customer relations.
  • Accident Reporting

Education and Experience

  • Two years’ experience in Vegetation Management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
  • Meets and demonstrates qualifications of all positions on a crew.
  • Delegates work and take accountability for the performance of a crew.
  • Ability to read and understand contract requirements.
  • Knowledge of botanical and common names of trees and plants.
  • Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Able to adjust to field requirements and take independent action without close supervision.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
