Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage both the back & front of the house overseeing the flow of inventory to both retail locations. Maintaining proper inventory levels on the floor, keeping display in order, and flexing the shop areas as needed. Build effective shoppable displays and keep the retail stores exciting, attractive, and as organized as possible. Work with team on keeping the property visually pleasing, especially during holidays.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Accessing the needs of the retail floor making determinations as to what is needed from backstock
  • Pull merchandise from the retail warehouse to be transported to the retail shops
  • Arranging the transport on needed inventory to the designated retail locations
  • Designing and creating attractive visual displays for both retail locations
  • Keep the retail floor clean, neat, and to the Finley Farm/Big Cedar standard
  • Slotting inbound orders for easier and more familiar access to needed inventory (work w/ receiving)
  • Participate in formal periodic inventory audits/cycle counts
  • Plan to be an integral part of year-end physical inventory
  • Partnering with the team to keep the property visually decorated with an emphasis on holidays
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Years of experience: 1+ years of experience in retail or related field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Using computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.). Excel and PowerPoint are great and helpful skills to possess.
  • Possessing critical thinking skills means being able to advocate your ideas and opinions, present them in a logical fashion, and make decisions for improvement
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Ability to interact with others in an honest, fair, and respectful way, giving others confidence in one's intentions and those of the organization. Skilled at clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media; engaging the audience and helping them understand and retain the message.
  • Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks.
  • Skilled at establishing courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently.
  • Ability to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities, using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing solutions.
